Brain Health And Memory: 5 Essential Oils To Help

brainhealthDo you ever find yourself yelling at your brain to wake up?  While I rarely skip my morning bulletproof coffee, I  do find myself doing this once in awhile throughout the day.   One of my favorite ways to wake up my brain that does not involve finding more caffeine is putting a drop of peppermint and a drop of wild orange in my hands, rubbing them together and cupping them around my nose while I  take a few deep breaths.  Almost instantly my brain fog has lifted and I am ready to get back to work.

Here are a few other essential oils that are great for brain health as well:

Various brain injuries are slow to heal, but frankincense oil can aid greatly in this process. Frankincense works by aiding oxygenation of blood going to the brain. This, in turn, will aid in oxygen absorption. When oxygen is absorbed effectively, it allows the brain to process and retain information, heal, and function correctly.

Lavender has been traditionally used for its calming abilities. It has shown effective to reduce anxious feelings and, it has been used to increase alertness and boost stamina and energy.
