Everyone wants a clean and safe home, but their cleaning cabinet can show otherwise. The good news is that you can create a safe, pristine environment for your family with essential oils and a few natural ingredients most of which you can get at your neighborhood grocery store. I have included three “recipes” to replace your toxic ridden cleaners that include the ingredients listed in the image below.
Soft Scrub Cleanser
Cleaning the bathroom is not an experience people look forward to very often. Being stuck in a small closed space with harsh chemicals not only makes it hard to breathe but can also be hazardous to your health.
The next time you clean your bathroom, why not try mixing up an effective cleaner with many ingredients you already have at home. It still might not be your favorite household chore, but you will at least have a clean bathroom cleaning products to make the job a little easier to handle.
SOFT SCRUB FOR BATH, TILE, AND TOILET
Make in small batches and store in an airtight container. This is enough for two to four applications. This soft scrub is excellent for getting rid of soap scum, removing stains, and brightening your tile and toilet. To use, just apply and let it sit for 5–10 minutes and then scrub. Once done scrubbing, take a wet cloth and wipe clean.
¾ rounded cup baking soda
¼ cup unscented liquid castile soap
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon vinegar
5–10 drops Lemon oil
•In a bowl, combine baking soda and castile soap.
•Add water and stir.
•Add vinegar and essential oil. The consistency should be a soft paste.
•Store in airtight container.
•Add ingredients directly to partially drained bowl. As it reacts, scrub the toilet.
Note: This combination is intended for one use at a time.

All Purpose Cleaner
Aside from its many benefits to the body, Lemon is also a very powerful cleansing agent. With this mixture, you can shine stainless steel, remove grime from microwaves, freshen up your garbage disposal, and even deep clean appliances like your washing machine and refrigerator.
5–10 drops Lemon oil
1 cup water
1 cup vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a glass container and mix well.
Spray on the surface you wish to clean and wipe off with a clean cloth.
Tips: Use this mixture with a toothbrush, microfiber cloth, or another cleaning tool to dust, shine surfaces, and remove dirt and grime from the home. This mixture can be combined in a spray bottle and kept in your kitchen or bathroom for easy access to daily spills and messes. Shake well before each use.
Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent
1c Castile Soap
1c Baking Soda
1/3c Coarse Sea Salt
7 L Hot Water
20 drops of doTERRA essential oil
Directions: Use 1/4C – 1/2 cup
