Preventing The Spread Of Germs Naturally

Winter is the time of year when there are extra germs. Part of staying well is getting rid of germs around the house. Two of my secret weapons for cleaning my home and keeping bacteria at bay is On Guard Cleaner– if you don’t have this get it. It’s the best natural cleaner I have ever used. All you do is add two tablespoons to a spray bottle of water, and you can clean anything from carpets to counters to glass objects. It’s priced so that each bottle of cleaner you make ends up costing you a little over $1. I don’t know about you, but I have never found a cleanser that affordable. It smells great, is nontoxic and gets rid of those germs.
Another secret weapon is lemon essential oil. A bottle of lemon lives in my kitchen just to use for cleaning. Add three drops to a spray bottle of water to make a natural sanitizing spray. I use it to clean my stainless steel fridge, and my sink handles. It has potent antibacterial properties that are great for getting rid of those flu germs.  Also diffusing it around the house will help to purify the air and get rid of air born germs that may lead to sickness.

Oils can be so confusing! There are so many ways to use them. Look at Kelly's exact daily routine to see how you get use them all day long.

  • The oils I use first thing in the morning for clear skin and digestion.
  • Stress management oils and which to use before bed.

 Spreading  The Germs

When we think about a germ and how bad it is, we think about two things: How easily it spreads, and how nasty it is. Some germs out there is a rare bird that is easily spreadable and has a relatively high infection rate.
Think of how many things that you touch in a day that other people use as well. Germinfected people that heed the warning just to stay home and nurse their symptoms. Shopping carts, door handles, borrowing a pen, the table at the coffee shop, the ecliptic machine at the gym so many infected objects. This nasty season isn’t ending anytime soon; in fact it can go well into March. Enter on guard sanitizing spray. I take this everywhere! As much as I would enjoy staying in my little home office bubble until the germ season passes, I travel to speak and teach a lot. I usually can’t get enough of this oil infused natural sanitizer, but this time of year it’s working overtime, the thing I like the best part is that it doesn’t dry out my hands.
